Question

Alexis (Gombe Gal) her sister, Philippa and I... want to put on a play using our dolls. But we are having trouble deciding which book to perform.
We would like something historical, and we want it to have at least 3 main g irls. And preferably not too much romance!
We were trying to think of classic novels, but all the ones we could think of had only one g irl.

Sorry if we're being too picky!

Thanks for any ideas

Any book, right? How about Little Women ? It's long of course, but you could do an adapted version.

There's also "A Little Princess" (Characters could be Sara, Becky, Lottie, and Ermengarde)

Good luck deciding!

p.s.--If you need a copy of this book (Or Little Women, I think) you can go to Project Gutenberg at gutenberg.org They have a bunch of classic novels there.

Anne of Green Gables. Depending on which scenes you do there are at least two if not more girls. Anne, Diana, Ruby Gilis (hysterics!), Josie Pye, etc.

Oh, OR any Little House book. Laura, Mary, Carrie, Grace, Nellie Olson.

edited for the idea I had as I pressed post

The Hans Chrsitian Anderson's Little Mermaid, or Anne of Green Ables is a good one to. Oh and And little Princess is a neat one also. Heidi is also another recomendation. The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe ( but of course that would be really hard) A Nacy Drew mystery maybe. P.S. I hope you find one you like!

I was going to suggest A Little Princess or maybe Pollyanna. A Secret Garden has one main girl with two boys.
